I love Books A Million. I go there everytime I go to Chicago ridge mall. And I'm always finding the book I'm looking for, or a book that I would like to read. The Employees are very very nice and helpful.

Horrible store. These good reviews are a lie. Their membership plan is ridiculous! I think they try to convince you to sign up so they can get paid commission. Bad customer service, too. Hope this place goes out of business. I miss Hellfire Comics. Don't know why that placed closed down and this one is still open. f*** this place.

I an so happy that they have yaoi

My brother and I went in and found the Funko Pops that his Daughter wanted for her birthday. Keep in mind this is my first time shopping there. The cashier (Patrick, white guy with glasses) wanted to sign me up for the membership card which I would've paid $25 for it, and said I could pay $30 instead of $50 for the toys. But I still would've paid the extra $25 for the card, so I wouldn't have saved any money at all. I never shopped there before and my family and I don't live around that area, (again, first time) so I refused and said, "this is only a last minute shopping." He still didn't listen and wanted me to wait outside at the food court so he can sign me up or if i can come back the next day and at that point I was getting irritated. He said, "trust me I've had a lot of people tell me they'll be coming back and they never do." He kept trying to force me to sign up and after 10 mins of talking back and forth I finally told him, "I'm just not interested. Sorry. I don't want to sign up. I just want to pay for these already." This is what he said to me with a patronizing attitude, "oh, well okay. That'll be $54, and not $34. Since you didn't wanna sign up. I mean, you have the money, right? You probably make lots of money and like to spend it". I didn't respond. Just grabbed my bag and left. He said this in front of the other customers and i was pissed. Well they lost themselves a customer and I'm never shopping there again.

We went on a day when it wasn't busy. The associate was kind and attentive. She answered our questions readily and made us feel quite welcome.
